Gleaners Inc. Highlights

I have been a busy bee for the last few weeks. Getting Gleaners Inc. up and running, blogging everyday on the Gleaners Inc. blog, making things , sourcing things and most importantly chatting to lovely people who have visited the shop. I've been having a ball, and can hopefully make Gleaners Inc. into a long term project....with your kind support xxx

My Childhood Wheels

After digging out a photo of me and my first bike (top middle) and then spying Lynne's (Sister Outlaws) picture on Facebook (middle right) I thought we definately needed a Flickr group to document these precious moments from our childhood. So if you were a kid in the 70's or 80's show us pictures of you, your friends or family and your cool Bike.
Dig out those pics of you on your cruisy two wheeler, dinky trike or groovy dragstar and post them on "My Childhood Wheels"
If you hail from an earlier or later era, we don't mind, as long it's a pic. of a kid and his/her wheels!
I am extra keen to see those awesome banana seats, sissy bars and high, higher, highest, handlebars!

It’s nearly time for Buttonfest, an annual exhibition and sales day presented by the Victorian Button Collectors Club. Buttonfest is a celebration of all things buttons, providing a unique opportunity to see, buy, collect and marvel at buttons and button paraphernalia from the 19th Century to the present day.For those keen to begin or enhance a collection, members will be running market stalls, featuring highly collectable and covetable buttons for sale. You may need one special button for a vintage clothing repair – Buttonfest is the only place to find it. Your up-cycled craft project may require some button enhancement – here’s the best place to look! Buttonfest is a rare opportunity to purchase buttons direct from enthusiastic and informed collectors.

It might be time I added to my already extensive button collection.How about you?

Just checking into Lino Forest after a week busily blogging over on the "Gleaners Inc." blog , advertising some of the goodies that are going to be for sale in Gleaners Inc. when it opens very soon.

Blogtoberfest

Flippen heck it's October already. Which means it's time for Blogtoberfest.
Tinniegirl has organised a sign up list and Curlypops is organising the giveaway list.

I don't think I'm going to be able to commit to a post everyday at Lino Forest. I'm super busy setting up my new shop "Gleaners Inc." and may need a note for the teacher to excuse me on a regular basis.
BUT, I think I will try to post on the Gleaners Inc. blog as often as possible with progress pics. and titbits. So come on over and follow along. Can I do it everyday ? Let's see!
