Or, "should I feed these guys before or after making a cuppa?"
Most days I'm making dozens of decisions. Big businessy ones, important family ones, or those little snap decisions you make in a split second that are half gut instinct and half common sense.
And we all remember those life changing decisions we have made that have altered the course of our lives.
I think my biggest decision was to follow that young guitarist off into the St Kilda night 22 years ago! On the surface it was simply a case of "should I stay or should I go?" but my intuition must have played a part as it was the BEST decision I have ever made!
Next year my guitar boy and I celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.
What are some of your life changing decisions?
Well congratulations Liz. That was a good decision!
ReplyDeleteFor me in retrospect it was moving to Brisbane from Sydney. My then husband had a job offer, and with two small children and me not working at the time I couldn't think of a reason not to go, besides not wanting to leave Sydney and my family! If I'd stayed in Sydney I don't know if I would have become a jeweller (and business coach/trainer) and lead the life I do today, which I love.
Deciding to quit our respectable, rather well paid jobs in Melbourne and move home to Newcastle to open our little shop.
ReplyDeleteChoosing happiness & self respect over money.
Best decision we ever made!
Happy 20th anniversary! What a milestone :)
ReplyDeleteLikewise one of my biggest (and best) life changing decisions was to be with my now husband, step-sons and all. And to follow him and his job to Hong Kong, and now Seoul. The past 6 years have been challenging, amazing and so very wonderful in ways I never, ever would have imagined!
