A beautiful colour plate from a gorgeous book called "Dawn the Fawn" by Jane Thornicroft. This little deer maybe Britain's answer to Bambie. When I got it home I found the borrowing card inside from St. Leonards school. Sadly no one borrowed the book after 1961.
