The Colourful Kitchen
The Flickr group "The Colourful Kitchen " sums up my kitchen pretty well. Perhaps a little too colourful for some, but I've never been a slate grey kinda girl. Note my brand spanking new floral potholder. A surprise gift from CurlyPops.Last week I got a box full of Marguerite Pattern's recipe cards circa 1967. Any idea of what I can do with over 1000 of these. Other than use them for actual cooking. Although the bacon and eggs recipe would be useful for someone I know.

How about making wallpaper out of them - or covering something with them? I love your orange 60's containers, it all looks so bright and happy :-)
ReplyDeleteThe potholder matches perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI found a similar recipe set last week at the oppy. I thought I'd use mine to attach my brooches to for the market.
Would they work as brooch holders? How about some hand-bound book covers? I'll take some off your hands if you're oversupplied. What a great find.
ReplyDeleteI should have read CurlyPops' comment properly. I see she suggested brooch holders too.
ReplyDeleteThere's plenty of recipe cards up for grabs if you would like some. Good for collage, or swing tags!?! Decoupage, wallpaper and drink coasters have also been suggested.
ReplyDeleteLove your style girl! Not too colourful for me. I should photograph my collection of orange mid-century ceramics.
ReplyDeleteso cute, got to check out the flickr group now. Score on the potholder!
