Babushka Celebration...It's a Giveaway!

This post will be celebrating two things.....Firstly it will be to commemorate post number150. So thats a good enough excuse in itself.
And secondly, because I am still in a Babushka frame of mind, I want to celebrate all thing "Babushka-rish" by having a giveaway.
One of these Betty Jo Babushka brooches will be a prize , but this time, only for OVERSEAS readers who leave a comment. I will draw a winner next Wednesday night, so go on all you foreign readers, I know you are out there. Great Britain, France, America, Finland, N.Z. Canada, and the rest. I'm including Tasmanian readers as well, as they live over the water!
(But by all means leave a comment even if you are Aussie!)
I figured I have so many stockists in mainland Australia, and hardly any O.S. so any suggestions regarding potential stockists would also be lovely. And this little china house planter was found in my local op-shop today. I fear a kitsch planter collection/addiction is developing.

  1. Great idea, obviously I am not entering but if you don't mind I might mention your giveaway on my blog. I love so much the owl that I won for your 100th. Is that ok?
As for selvedge , I am obseesed with it and make purses out of it or little quilts - I just love it even more than the fabrics it is cut from!
Oh you can delete this comment if it makes things easier -

  2. I have some suggestions for galleries in Oregon, USA. The first place is called TWIST and is in Portland. I can't find a website for them, but I found their information on here:

The other place is in Astoria, Oregon and it is called Lunar Boy Gallery. www.lunarboygallery.com
I love both places and think your items would do well. Hope this helps!

I'd love to be entered in the giveaway! :)

  11. I've been loving your lino brooches for ages, but never knew you had a blog! We have your brooches at Hive in Canberra. I was just commenting on Jodie's blog that I hinted and hinted about an owl brooch for my birthday last year, but it didn't quite get through to him. never fear - wedding anniversary is coming up soon!

Great blog! I'm glad I found it!

  20. It is a circle of lino with a bone coloured button ontop, it used to have what I thought was a wolf or a fox head but maybe I was wrong? It was mounted on a lovely old playing card with a wolf or a fox on it?? I can send you a pic if you like?
