4. Colour Block Necklaces 5. I Still Call Australia Home brooch 6. Bird of Paradise (largest piece made so far)
7. Sew Far Sew Good brooches 8. Lino Hex brooches 9. Colour Kitten brooches

2011 was certainly "The Year of Colour"
Beach Rainbows
My Beach Plastic Collections went viral all over the net............Tutti Frutti

Another Distraction

I am the queen of late adopters. Call me Queen "not another thing to distract me" Liz. But like moss on a damp rock Instagram is growing on me. How about you?
I dabbled with it in Winter at the park, but didn't quite get with the program.

But now I think I'll be pulling out the iphone a little too often if I don't watch out!

All I want for Christmas.....

Lately I have been so wrapped up ( no pun intended) in providing gorgeous gifts for lovely people in my shop, I have completely overlooked myself.
Hubby asked me what I wanted for Chrissy yesterday and I haven't really had time to stop and think.
Is a kitten practical? We already have two cats, a dog and a canary.
Perfume? I get olfactory overload when I try and choose a nice smelling fragrance in Myers.
Jewellery? Yeah right. I have jewellery coming out my ears..kind of.
A massage...getting very warm.
A person to come and spring clean my house...warmer.
A ticket to Sydney to see the Picasso Exhibition ...Jackpot!!!!!Thankyou blog for helping me decide what I want for Christmas. Now to make it happen.

Bring on Christmas!

I'm usually very stubborn when it comes to getting Christmassy. I won't think or do anything festive to well into December. But when the time is right I love it!xmas
Having a shop this Christmas has meant I can dig out the lights and decos and make two places twinkly!
I made a couple of Lino wreaths for the shop last week. There is still one available if you are interested!

New Clocks.

A few weeks ago I was sent two big parcels of lino from Kirsten of Prints Charming. Some beautiful florals and several gold swirly designs. Kirsten asked that some of the lino be made into a Sugar Skull Clock and here it is. The lino in the clock will have made a round trip from Marrickville Sydney to Thornbury Melbourne and then back to Marrickville. Love that circle of crafty giving and receiving!

I was set a challenge to create a piece with the theme "Drinking". So I made a pretty drink clock! "Cocktail O'Clock" is in a group show at Upstairs at The Napier Hotel, and a little twitter bird told me it sold at the opening yesterday. Now I'll drink to that!
